Ten Interview Questions for The Next Big Thing:

Where did the idea come from for the book? The idea came from an old black and white movie from the 40’s called Dear Ruth.
What genre does your book fall under? short contemporary romance
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Channing Tatum would make a great Nik–if he’d dye his hair black. And for Lucy…Blake Lively.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? After sharing emails for months, Nik is excited to meet Lucy in person, but he isn’t prepared for the instant attraction or the idea that maybe she didn’t write all those letters after all.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? Agency please. :)
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? <grin> it’s not done yet.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? It’s a romantic comedy. As to what it’s similar to? I don’t like to kiss and compare. :)
Who or What inspired you to write this book? I love the movie so much that I wanted to update it into the new era.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? Dear Lucy won First Place in the Marilyn Romance Writer’s Release You Inner Vixen Contest.
