Introducing Brodie Harper–Hero of Brodie’s Bride

I’ve done a blog post before about why I love men, but the main reason is they are not women. (insert grin) Nothing irks me more than for the hero of a novel to talk like a heroine.

I know that the majority of these men are written by women. But, hey, we’re writers, and we should be able to not only make them sound masculine, but to make them sound heroic as well.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m married to a man’s man. DH drives a 4×4, carries a gun, says things like “hot damn” and “damn straight.” And there are few things my hubs would never say–

“I think we should…”

“Would you like to…”

“What do you think about…”

And I understand. It’s the price I pay for being married to an alpha male.

Today I want to introduce you to Brodie Harper, the hero from my debut novel Brodie’s Bride, and give you a list of 5 Things Brodie would never say.

1–“Why, yes, I’d love another shot of tequila.”

2– “I’m an ‘each man for himself’ kind of guy.”

3–“My mother should be nominated for Mom of the Year.”

4–“I feel more comfortable wearing a suit and tie.”

5–“Marrying Savanna was the biggest mistake I ever made.”

Yep, he’s the kind of guy who says things like, “hot damn” and “damn straight”. My favorite kind!
